Sergei Bobrovski has one last chance in the Stanley Cup Final for his play to do the talking

FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida – Sergei Bobrovski has been the central, but silent figure throughout the 2024 Stanley Cup Final.

He’s the starting goalie for the Florida Panthers, and fans in Florida will serenade him tonight in Game 7 with chants of “Bobby! Bobby!” However, the goalie himself has been effectively hidden from public view beyond games and practices.

While the Panthers have never been more covered, the Stanley Cup media horde is large, and Bobrovski has been protected from it.

He doesn’t “do podiums,” so any media availability with the goalie has been limited to locker room scrums. He doesn’t speak on game days, so after the morning skate before Game 7, there’ll be a media relations shield protecting him, and on practice days he’s typically out of the locker room before the media is
