KOSICE, Slovakia — Carter Hart didn’t disappoint in his debut season with the Philadelphia Flyers.
Much of the same, he hopes, can be expected in his encore.
Hart, a standout in his rookie foray in the National Hockey League, hopes to play a key role in returning the Flyers to an appearance in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
“I just want to play as many games as I can next year,” said Hart, who is representing Canada at the 2019 IIHF World Championship in Slovakia. “I’ll make sure I get a good summer in and get some good work in here so I’ll be ready for next year. I want to play a lot of games so I’ll make sure I have a good summer of training ahead of me so I’ll be prepared for next year.”
He wasn’t underprepared this year.
