EP Rinkside Prospect Pool Rankings: No. 30 Ranked Pittsburgh Penguins

I’m starting to notice a theme in these rankings. It’s as if there’s a negative relationship between sustained playoff success and a wealth of draft picks, prospects, etc. We’ll have to examine this in further depth at some point.

That said, you have to hand it to the Pittsburgh Penguins’ scouting staff. They’re like mechanics in Cuba. They just find a way to make things work very little in the way of resources. Ultimately, though, there are holes in the floorboards and rust on the chassis. They can only do so much, with so little.
