Post-Draft Prospect Profiles: Nikola Pasic No. 189 to the New Jersey Devils
Nikola Pasic‘s 2018-18 season had its fair share of highs and lows alike, culminating in a seventh-round selection by the New Jersey Devils at the NHL Entry Draft.
He started with Linköping HC’s J20 SuperElit team and was among the top players in the league leading up to the Christmas break. By that point, Pasic had amassed 30 points (14 goals and 16 assists) in 22 games while maintaining a better-than-solid two-way profile.
The second half was decidedly more turbulent for Pasic. Let’s start with the revolving set of locales. He bounced between Linköping’s J20 team and their SHL team, and also joined BIK Karlskoga on loan. That lack of stability might have played a role in Pasic’s performance, as there was a notable drop in the on-ice quality of play and production alike.
