The EliteProspects Rinkside 2020 NHL Entry Draft USHL Watch List

While the first round of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft is expected to be dominated by CHL and European prospects, the United States Hockey League has a bounty of draft-eligible players to offer that, while not nearly as coveted as Alexis Lafreniere or Lucas Raymond, could still present value to their organizations.

The USHL was spoiled last year by an impressive collection of 18 year-olds on the National Development Program, a whopping 8 of which were taken in the first round of the 2019 Draft. A total of 16 USHL players were taken in the first two rounds of last year’s draft, and while these lofty numbers likely won’t be replicated this year, there are certainly some outstanding players from the league that will be up for grabs in later rounds, as well as a few who may sneak into the first.
