The Nashville Predators have a lot going for them. They play in one of the NHL’s best cities, with fans of equal or better quality, and they’ve been a Western Conference powerhouse for about five straight seasons.

Even the best franchises can’t have their cake and eat it too, though.

For the Preds, that means a prospect pool headed in the opposite direction of their big league team. And a terrible power play. Can’t forget that. I can’t imagine anyone in Nashville has.

It’s not all doom and gloom on the farm, though. The Preds have top of the lineup potential at nearly every position, and adequate depth to boot.
