EP Rinkside Prospect Pool Rankings: No. 19 Ranked Minnesota Wild

The Minnesota Wild have the 19th best farm system according to EP Rinkside. That’s nothing to be ashamed of and they have enough talent in Russia and North America to make them significantly better in the next two-to-three years.

When Wild general manager Paul Fenton took over, he immediately looked to get younger and dig out of cap trouble. Nothing digs you out of cap trouble better than good drafting and development. An influx of youth is just around the corner for this franchise.

1. Kirill Kaprizov, W, CSKA Moskva

Kirill Kaprizov is the best-drafted prospect not signed to play in the NHL. He just came off a 30-goal season for CSKA. The Wild may only get one more kick at the can to sign him. Has a great wrist shot. His speed is NHL quality and he goes strong to the net even at 5-foot-11.
