Trevor Zegras is a playmaker, known for his ability to see the ice well and know exactly what to do with the puck to put his teammates in a position to score. It’s one of the main reasons Albie O’Connell, head coach at Boston University, recruited him to be a Terrier and why the Anaheim Ducks drafted him ninth overall at the NHL Draft this past June.
“We recruited him because of his offensive hockey sense, his skill and his ability to make the guys around him better,” O’Connell said. “That’s what he does best. He’s highly talented and highly motivated to score or at least put it on someone else’s stick to put it in the back of the net. He’s an elite talent, but he also brings elite energy. He’s been really good for us and is an important piece of the offensive arsenal for our team.”
