Undrafted Free Agent Profile: Brandon Biro Sticks With Buffalo Sabres
The Buffalo Sabres took their first swing in NCAA free agency this season with the signing of Penn State Nittany Lion forward Brandon Biro.
He’s a player that they’ve some familiarity with, having hosted him for development camp just this last summer. And it’s easy to see why they came calling when Biro’s season was over.
If a puck springs loose in the corner, Biro is first on it. His feet hack the ice in rapid succession; the chopping sounds alert others that they are late for a race that they didn’t have much chance to win with a headstart anyway.
The forward is quick and focused — decisive. If opponents aren’t vigilant; if they don’t monitor his movements, they will be relegated to spectators as he flies past them to cleanly scoops the puck from the walls and creates an easy tip-in goal
