Undrafted Free Agent Profile: Nick Wolff Joins the Boston Bruins
The Boston Bruins have always actively participated in the NCAA free agent market. They throned near the top of the NHL standings the past few years, and as a result, have had fewer opportunities to acquire draft talent — using college seniors to fill the holes in their depth chart has been an effective alternative strategy for their management.
After recruiting Karson Kuhlman in 2018, the Bruins once again dipped in the prospect pool of Minnesota-Duluth University, seizing defenceman Nick Wolff this past week.
Wolff led the Bulldogs to another successful season in 2019-20. At the interruption of the league’s activity, the team was ranked fourth in the Nation and prepared for a long playoff to conquer another Championship banner.
