The end of each season offers a handful of interesting undrafted free agents on my side of the Atlantic. The SHL is one of the NHL’s greatest trading partners in this sense, exporting Swedes and international talent alike to hockey’s biggest stage.
Derek Ryan, Joakim Nygård, Pär Lindholm and Joel Kellman represent just a handful of recent examples.
This year’s group offers its own set of interesting names, including Kodie Curran, Fredrik Håndemark, and Johannes Kinnvall. The player seemingly generating the most NHL interest, though, is probably Örebro HK’s Mathias Bromé.
