Don’t make the mistake of looking at a player’s position on our NHL Entry Draft rankings and equating that with their eventual billing at the draft, whenever that takes place and in whatever form.

For now, anyway, EliteProspects doesn’t have a stake to claim at the NHL Draft, and if we did that would make us just one among the 32 teams vying to land these players’ services.

We offered our opinions on where these players should go and why they should go in those spots, but they’re just that — opinions.

Spending as much time in a rink as we have this season, we’re in direct contact with the people making those decisions all the time though.
