Are the Buffalo Sabres suddenly an attractive destination for unrestricted free agents? Not in any meaningful fashion, but they bagged their second NCAA free agent of the cycle anyway when they signed Western Michigan Broncos forward Dawson DiPietro.
The news came less than a week after the club put pen to paper on an entry-level contract for Penn State Nittany Lions forward Brandon Biro, and was bookended by Mattias Samuelsson‘s entry-level deal only two days later. Talk about a productive stretch.
