The Toronto Maple Leafs and Pittsburgh Penguins surprised everyone with a trade. Yes, a real, actual trade in hockey. How exciting! This wasn’t just any old trade; three NHL players moved, along with a first-round pick, and two prospects.
The full deal saw Toronto send Kasperi Kapanen, Pontus Åberg, and prospect Jesper Lindgren head to Pittsburgh for a 2020 first-round pick (15th overall), prospect Filip Hållander, Evan Rodrigues, and David Warsofsky.
