The EliteProspects Rinkside 2020-21 Off-Season Prospect Pool Rankings: the No. 28-ranked Chicago Blackhawks

Chicago Blackhawks general manager Stan Bowman authored a statement about this time a month ago detailing the new direction that the franchise was charting, departing from their stated goal of competing for a playoff spot year in and year out and embracing a rebuild.

There are some nice young pieces in place. Kirby Dach took the world by storm in the NHL’s Return to Play tournament and playoffs. Adam Boqvist has established himself as an everyday NHL defenceman at the ripe young age of 20.

One can’t wholly discount Jonathan Toews or Patrick Kane just yet either, even if they’ve transitioned into the twilight of their career.
