The EliteProspects Rinkside 2020-21 Off-Season Prospect Pool Rankings: the No. 23-ranked New York Islanders

Without a first or second-round pick in October’s draft, and top prospect Noah Dobson graduating, the New York Islanders find themselves in a peculiar spot — with a prospect pool moderately high on talent, but short on development.

That combination is no more apparent than in their top-two forward prospects, Oliver Wahlstrom and Kieffer Bellows. The pair of shoot-only wingers have endured developmental rollercoasters that have left their NHL future in despair. Several other high-upside bests either missed this list entirely or took a tumble down the depth chart.
