The EliteProspects Rinkside 2020-21 Off-Season Prospect Pool Rankings: the No. 19-ranked Edmonton Oilers

With a pair of top-10 picks in the past three seasons, the Edmonton Oilers should be much higher than 19th on these prospect pool rankings.

That’s not to say that Evan Bouchard and Philip Broberg are busts – far from it – but they aren’t quite the high-end prospects they once seemed.

Further hurting the Oilers’ ranking was the graduation of Ethan Bear and Caleb Jones, while Kailer Yamamoto looks the part of a top-six forward for years to come.

The Oilers prospect pool is a healthy mix of high-upside swings and high-probability bets, a near-perfect mixture for an NHL club in desperate need of help up-and-down the lineup.

At 14th overall, Dylan Holloway’s the lowest pick of the three consecutive first rounders to start this list. He’s also the best.
