"It was just an amazing goal;" Elmer Söderblom's limitless skill on full display in Swedish win

Sweden's Albin Sundsvik seemed almost at a loss for words when I asked him for comment on Elmer Söderblom's 4-1 goal in the third period.

"Yeah, it’s amazing," Sundsvik told EliteProspects. "He’s a big guy, but he’s got really good hands as well. That was really cool to see. It was just an amazing goal."

Even that might sell it short.

The Swedes won a defensive zone face-off, and carried the puck unabated into the offensive zone. They entered the power play formation, and Söderblom took his position at the net-front -- an apt posture for someone with his towering 6-foot-8 frame.
