The EliteProspects Rinkside 2020-21 Off-Season Prospect Pool Rankings: the No. 14-ranked Buffalo Sabres

The Buffalo Sabres and their fans would much rather place in the top half of the league’s standings after so many years spent clinging to the hope of a prospect pool in that esteemed air, but this will have to suffice.

At this point — nine straight seasons since their last playoff appearance — it’s damning the franchise with faint praise.

The hope is that eventually all the draft capital that the Sabres have invested in their stable of prospects will eventually reward them with a post-season appearance as their return on investment.
