New York Rangers promote Chris Drury to Associate General Manager

The New York Rangers announced the promotion of Chris Drury to Associate General Manager on Friday.

Drury, who is in his sixth season in the Rangers' front office, will continue to assists General Manager Jeff Gorton on all player transactions and contract negotiations. He is also responsible for all hockey-related matters for the AHL Hartford Wolf Pack.

He rejoined the Rangers on Sept. 4, 2015, as the Director of Player Development and was promoted to Assistant General Manager on Sept. 2, 2016. He has also been the GM of the Wolf Pack since May 16, 2017.

While working in New York's front office, he was named General Manager for the U.S. Men's National Team at the 2019 IIHF World Championship and the 2020 IIHF World Championship.

During his 12-year NHL career with the Avalanche, Flames, Sabres and Rangers, he skated in 892 games. He registered 255 goals and 360 assists. He won a Stanley Cup with Colorado in 2000-01 and the Calder Trophy in 1998-99.
