The Buffalo Sabres find themselves in a familiar position

It's a new season, with a new set of players, and a new divisional alignment, but the Buffalo Sabres once again find themselves in an all too familiar position anyway. 

After a back-to-back set of games this weekend against the Philadelphia Flyers, in which they somehow managed to lose to the same team by the very same 3-0 score for the second and third times already this season, they sit in the basement of that redefined East Division.

Considering the way things went for them in February, it was kind of a fitting way to put a bow on it. In the nine games they were able to play, they managed to score just 14 total times. If that sounds bad, it actually gets worse. Ten of those 14 goals came in their three games against the New Jersey Devils, with just six of them coming at even strength. Fo
