Around the AHL: Patrick Brown doing plenty in Henderson

Sometimes forward Patrick Brown is the Vegas Golden Knights’ go-to recall option. Other times, he is the Henderson Silver Knights’ captain, proven forward, and all-around all-everything. He even mixed in a stint as an assistant coach on the Henderson bench for a preseason game.

“Wherever they need me, I'm ready to go,” Brown said. “Having the two teams in the same city is awesome. I can just drive to one rink or drive to the other. Wherever they need me. I'll be ready and have a lot of fun.”

At 8-1-0-0 tied with the Chicago Wolves for the AHL, Henderson is having plenty of fun. The Silver Knights possess a potent blend of NHL-calibre prospects and proven veterans like Brown, who has already made three round-trip moves to and from the Golden Knights since the AHL season opened February 5.
