NHL Entry Draft 2021

An in-depth statistical breakdown of Michigan's draft-eligible trio

It’s rare to see all of the draft-eligible talent pooled on one team, especially three potential top-10 picks. With Owen PowerMatthew Beniers, and Kent Johnson, that’s a claim that the University of Michigan can credibly boast this season.

As such, I tracked event data for nearly every game Michigan’s played so far (21 of 26) while building a database on their conference, Big Ten.

At face value, Power and Beniers were two of the best players in their conference and arguably the most well-rounded at their position. Despite Johnson's gaudy point totals, his results were far more pedestrian. Let's go player-by-player, talking trending and highlighting the most exciting results.

All statistics cited below are 5-on-5 only.
