Around The AHL: Tucson taking on tough times

As the Tucson Roadrunners bus west to Southern California for a pair of games this weekend, they can do so with a bit more confidence.

 

Tucson had dropped seven of eight games going into a home date with the San Diego Gulls this past Saturday night, including five consecutive games at Tucson Arena. Instead, they walloped the Gulls, 6-2. San Diego took the following night’s rematch, but the Roadrunners showed better in a 4-2 loss.
