What we Learned: The Philadelphia Flyers need a shrewd plan moving forward
Last week, Philadelphia Flyers general manager Chuck Fletcher said the team would be "aggressive" at the deadline, acknowledging that the way the current roster was built isn't setting anyone up for much success.
Since those comments, the team lost 8-3 to the Rangers before beating them 2-1 in a game in which Philadelphia looked dominant. That was the first time they had kept an opponent under two goals in nearly a month, and in the intervening time, the Flyers have been outscored 40-66.
With a goal differential like that, you won't be surprised to learn that the Flyers now have just five wins from 15 games (and one of them was against the Sabres, so it only technically counts).
