Appert’s Amerks, who are 6-3-1-1, battled a rash of postponed games due to league COVID-19 protocols as well as the turmoil surrounding the parent Buffalo Sabres. Trickle-down effects are a fact of life for AHL head coaches, and the Sabres are lugging around an 18-game losing streak (0-15-3).
