Around The AHL: Cole Caufield takes on the AHL

Laval Rocket forward Cole Caufield knows how to make an introduction.

An hour or so after the NCAA named the 20-year-old right wing the winner of the Hobey Baker Award, Caufield also made his pro debut against the Toronto Marlies this past Friday night. Playing the right side of a line with centre Jordan Weal and left wing Yannick Veilleux, Caufield quickly made an impression.

The total for a weekend’s worth of work: two games, two wins, three goals, one assist, and a lot of excited Montréal Canadiens fans.
