Round 2 Preview: Colorado Avalanche vs. Vegas Golden Knights

We finally will get to see the Colorado Avalanche and Vegas Golden Knights go head to head this post-season, and when both teams are arguably at the peak of their powers, too.

The Avs bear the best statistical profile of any team since the 2008 Red Wings, coming off a dominant two-way regular season and utter demolition of the St. Louis Blues in the first round of the playoffs. The Knights’ victory over the Minnesota Wild wasn’t quite as convincing, but they’ve out-shot and out-scored their playoff opponents by a larger margin than any other team since they entered the league in 2017-18, and looked more dangerous than ever this season. To break down what might be the most-anticipated series of the season, I’ll be using my Team Cards (powered by TopDownHockey’s stats) and referring to stylistic-indicator microstats from LogiqBets.
