NHL 2021 Free Agency Profile: Tyson Barrie
Tyson Barrie made a clever bet on himself in October 2020. Facing unrestricted free agency following a disappointing season in Toronto, he signed an affordable one-year contract with the Edmonton Oilers.
With a top-pairing role guaranteed, and most important of all, a spot on the top power play unit, Barrie was destined to do numbers. That's exactly what he did. He finished his one-year deal with 48 points, good for the lead among defencemen this season.
