NHL Entry Draft 2021

2021 NHL Mock Draft 2.0: How it Will All Unfold

The 2021 NHL Entry Draft has lacked the usual hype that we've become accustomed to in recent years. The draw for teams to push for the bottom of the standings was missing. The clamouring for the ping pong balls on draw day was clearly lacking. Hell, even the anticipation for (hopefully) the final virtual selection draft appears muted.

Of course, a large part of that is the talent up for grabs. Long has this class been deemed a tad underwhelming. It doesn't house a clearly elite talent at the top, and the breadth of talent seems to fall off quicker than usual. But that does not mean there won't be some valuable assets pulled out of it. I've said this before, but it is very likely there will be a comparable amount of impact players produced.

Will there be a star or three? Most likely. A superstar or two? They're not obvious right now, but there is certainly a chance.
