Ranking the NHL's top 15 affiliated goalie prospects
All week long, we've been counting down the top prospects outside of the NHL, looking at the next wave of stars and ranking their potential outcomes. It started with a three-part series looking at the top 100 affiliated skater prospects, and today we're wrapping things up with a look at the top 15 affiliated prospects in goal.
Though we don't have any prospect analytics at our disposal -- like pGPS or SEAL-adjusted scoring -- to help quantify a goaltender's progression, we're going to continue using tools grades that operate on a 1-to-9 linear scale.
As with our skater rankings, a goaltender's eligibility will be determined by whether they qualify for the Calder Trophy in the upcoming season, awarded to the NHL's best rookie.
What follows is an in-depth look at each of the league's 15 best goaltending prospects, and how they stack up against one another.
