EP Rinkside 2021-22 Prospect Pool Rankings: No. 32-ranked Seattle Kraken

This one didn't take too long to decipher. The Seattle Kraken is but a seedling in the NHL. They've tilled the fields, and with careful development, might harvest a healthy crop of NHLers but they're not there yet. They have one entry draft under their belts where they made seven selections, one in each round.

That they were unable to parlay any of their expansion selections or their pre-expansion leverage into any additional picks can be left for decibel-splitting discussions for another day. However, what they managed to walk away with is a decent start to their prospect cupboard filling order. However, a long road lies ahead of them in their journey to rival some of the top teams we will feature throughout this project.

The club's decision to prioritize current NHLers, regardless of their future ceiling - or lack thereof - over more long-term swings did not help either.

Seattle ended up at the bottom of the heap. And outside of the 31st-ranked team, the Kraken's pipeline stands demonstrably lower than the vast majority of organizations.
