EP Rinkside 2021-22 Prospect Pool Rankings: No. 17-ranked Vegas Golden Knights
Futures in the form of draft picks and prospects have mostly served the Vegas Golden Knights as trade chips to enhance their big league roster, as they've taken big swings early in their franchise's existence to leap into Stanley Cup contention. Even so, they're left with a pretty favourable group of prospects that could let the good times roll.
At least one of Peyton Krebs, Brendan Brisson, and Zach Dean should become a top-six talent; the odds are in Krebs' favour, but the other two forwards boast dynamic, translatable qualities all their own. And there is Ivan D. Morozov, a quieter but just as effective force that is close to an NHL role.
Help is on the way in Vegas. Their top-ranked prospects could supplement their already strong core and push the team over the edge... Or they could serve as attractive chips in more deals to bolster the current roster in its quest for a Stanley cup. Whatever the case, they're well-positioned to hang near the top of the league's standings for some time.
