There's no question about it: Marco Rossi will be the NHL's next Austrian skater. The 20-year-old former ninth-overall pick is currently fighting it out for a spot on the Minnesota Wild's opening night roster, but whether he makes it this year or not is almost irrelevant -- he's going to get there at some point.
It would be a happy ending to a Hollywood story if his dream comes true. The perfect ending to a year from hell, one which included a life-threatening bout with COVID-19 and a lot of lost playing time.
