After a disappointing 2021 season, Pierre-Luc Dubois told the "32 Thoughts Podcast" that he struggled to win puck battles.
"Physically, I wasn't where I wanted to be," he said. It affected the rest of his game.
To help himself get back on track this summer, the Jets centre dissected videos of great small-area players, citing obvious names like Leon Draisaitl, Anze Kopitar and Aleksander Barkov. But curiously, Dubois added another player, one who didn't fit the power forward mould, his ex-teammate with the Columbus Blue Jackets, Artemi Panarin.
