Fantasy Forecast: Early season corrections

We're about 1/8 of the way through the NHL season. That's around 12 percent for you percentage-preferring people. Every year, the talking heads (myself included) inundate the readers and listeners with a host of candidates to regress, step up, find new roles and maintain previous production. Every year, we're wrong on so, so many of those predictions.

As such, it's time to take a step and recollect our thoughts with the new information available to us. What has gone right? Who has surprised even the most unsurprising of people? Who needs to be owned more and who is destined to maintain this level of production and who is begging for a regression?

In this installment of Fantasy Focus, we'll investigate the good surprises. Next time, it'll be the early letdowns.
