Hey, it’s the end of the eighth week of the NHL regular season. And it’s starting to feel as though everything is beginning to settle at the two-month mark.

Early on, there were wild overperformances and underperformance by players and teams alike, but in the last week or two, things are becoming a bit more predictable. Teams we thought at the start of the season would struggle are finally beginning to do so, and teams we thought would be great have heated up significantly. Guess that’s why they have you play all 82 games.

Meanwhile, the specter of COVID still hangs over everything, including potential Olympic participation. But the league marches on, and so do this week’s big winners.
