World Juniors 2022

Meet the Team: An early look at what Team USA might look like at the 2022 World Juniors

There's always pressure when you're the reigning champ and this year will be no different for the United States.

Last year's gold medal-winning roster was a who's who of offensive talent that included such luminaries as Cole CaufieldTrevor ZegrasMatt Boldy and Alex Turcotte. The US won't have access to their talented '01 class this year though and will look to some other names to fill in the holes.

Headlining the forward group is Matty Beniers, a returnee from last year's group set to take on more minutes and a much larger role for this year's group. Other forward first-rounders include a couple of Chicago Steel products: Matt Coronato, who's been tearing it up for the Harvard Crimson this season, and Mackie Samoskevich, who's been an important depth piece on one of the best Michigan rosters in history.

Keep an eye on Notre Dame commit Logan Cooley to make a splash at camp; the consensus top-10 pick could offer this roster some depth and scoring touch.
