In this edition of the Scout's Notebook, we're going to check in on some of the top first-time draft-eligible skaters from the QMJHL.
This isn't the best year for the 'Q. The class of 2022 pales in comparison to the two years that preceded it in terms of pure talent and volume. But even if 2022 has the potential to be a relative down year for the 'Q, it doesn't mean that it's a barren wasteland.
Nathan Gaucher and Tristan Luneau are both potential first-round talents, and other players, like Maveric Lamoureux, could also rise up the ranks with a strong second half of the season.
