Montréal Canadiens rumoured to put the defenseman Sami Niku on waivers

According to the team's Twitter account, the Montréal Canadiens are rumoured to be dropping Sami Niku, 25, who is put on waivers.

Niku weighs 194 lbs and is 6'1". He played on the youth team for JYP.

He played his latest season for the Montréal Canadiens, and made six points in 13 games in the NHL.

The Montréal Canadiens have added Rem Pitlick in the past month.
