2022 NHL Entry Draft

Scout’s Notebook: 4 first-time draft-eligible OHLers starting the second-half strong

The entire 2020-2021 OHL season was cancelled, which meant that even the top prospects in the region missed out on crucial development.

It’s particularly impactful for this year’s draft-eligible, as the draft-minus-one season allows players to learn what works in the OHL and what doesn’t. They get to know the pace of the league. For many, it’s the first time that their weaknesses are being exploited by the competition. It’s an opportunity to learn, improve, and reset before the biggest season of their careers.
