According to nhl.com, Markus Niemeläinen, 23, is leaving the Bakersfield Condors to play for the Edmonton Oilers.

Niemeläinen is 6'6" and weighs 190 lbs. He first played for Kiekko-Ahma.

He has played the latest season in the Bakersfield Condors, and made two goals and seven points in 23 games in the AHL.
