BOSTON, Massachusetts -- It was beginning to look like there was nothing Boston University could do to break through as the clock ticked down towards a potential do-or-die extra frame late in the third period of the Beanpot Championship game between them and Northeastern.
The Terriers had thrown everything short of the kitchen sink on net, and it didn't seem to matter. The shot differential? They'd just about lapped the Huskies. The territorial battle? Surely, every bit as lopsided. The one stat that mattered? Dead even at 0-0.
