With a new week of fantasy hockey just getting started, we're here to get you off on the right foot with a few suggestions from the waiver wire.

The waiver wire is a delicate roster construction mechanism. When it's mined with care and diligence, the pay-off can sometimes feel heaven-sent, like you've stumbled on a gift sent directly from the hockey gods. When it's carelessly plundered, it acts more like a set of cement slippers as you wade through the treacherous waters of fantasy hockey.
