Dylan Holloway's numbers in the AHL this season pale in comparison to the ones of other top prospects of his age group, players like John Peterka, Lukas Reichel, Jack Quinn, Marco Rossi and Alexander Holtz.
But Holloway's statistical profile doesn't paint an accurate picture of his season. When evaluating his on-ice performance, he grades just as high as some of the names above. In fact, there are many reasons for Edmonton Oilers fans to be excited about his progress.
The forward hasn't lost any of his abilities in his transition to AHL hockey. The many skills that made him an effective and productive forward in college should enable him to make a smooth and fast transition to the NHL.
