Fantasy Focus: Mining the waiver wire on April 18

We're now entering the home stretch in fantasy hockey For those of you who, correctly, end your fantasy playoffs a week before the NHL regular season draws to a close, this will be your final matchup of the season. For some, absolutely everything is on the line, whether it's glory and the championship or attempting to avoid the Sacko punishment that awaits the last-place finisher.

There is truly nothing better than putting it all on the line in high-stakes competition.

And so we meet again to provide another round of sneaky, under-rostered and under-appreciated options that could be waiting on your league’s waiver wire to be plucked, started and provide damage to your opponent.

This week’s schedule is fairly evenly weighted. 21 clubs have four games, another 10 have three matches, and only the Buffalo Sabres see two games. This means there are plenty of options available.

A reminder, these players are all (or almost all) rostered in under half of all Fantrax leagues.
