The Czechs will try to build on their strong performance at last year's U18s with an even better showing at this year's tournament in Germany. They may have only accumulated the one win after the group stage, but they came really close to beating tournament powerhouses like Finland and the USA, and that's something they can use as motivation this go around.
This year's lineup is a strong one, especially at forwarrd and in the crease. The Czech defence will be led by Tomas Hamara, a talented defender who could go early on Day 2 of the 2022 NHL Draft. Overall, the defence looks balanced, but it's not quite as strong as last year's group.
