2022 NHL Entry Draft

The draft-eligible prospects with the most to prove at the 2022 U18 World Hockey Championship

The 2022 IIHF U18 World Hockey Championship is a critically important tournament in the scouting season. It is the last chance for many prospects to show their potential, erase some of the doubts about their play and impress scouts before they meet to build their team's final list.

A great performance can vault a player up draft boards. An extreme example of this is Danila Klimovich, the Belarusian forward who scored six goals in five games for the team at last year's event. His dominant performances caught the eyes of many NHL executives. Klimovich was then selected in the second round by the Vancouver Canucks with their first pick of the draft.

Our team of evaluators will be on the lookout for such standouts at the event, but more than that, we will pay special attention to eight prospects, the ones in this article, who have a lot to gain from an exceptional outing at the tournament.
