Four match points for Avalanche after another win

The Colorado Avalanche are well on their way to clinch the series against the Nashville Predators in the NHL Åttondelsfinal, after winning 7-3 (2-1, 3-2, 2-0) on road. Colorado leads the series 3-0, and only needs one more win to make it to the kvartsfinal.

The Avalanche had a good start to the game. They took a 2-0 lead after goals from Artturi Lehkonen and Nathan MacKinnon before the Predators replied and made it 2-1 when Matt Duchene opened the scoring.

Eeli Tolvanen scored early in the second period, assisted by Mattias Ekholm and Alexandre Carrier, to give the Predators the lead.

Avalanche's Gabriel Landeskog made it 3-2, after a second-period goal halfway through the second period, assisted by Mikko Rantanen and Cale Makar.

Roman Josi scored late into the second period, assisted by Ryan Johansen and Mikael Granlund, to give the Predators the lead.

The Avalanche continued to be dominant in the third period and won 7-3 in the end. The goals in the final period were scored by Devon Toews and Valeri Nichushkin.

Nashville is now 0–0–0, while Colorado improves to 3–0–0.

The teams will soon play again for Game 4 on Monday, May 9 at 9:30 p.m.
