Lightning tie series with win over Maple Leafs

The Tampa Bay Lightning won 7-3 (3-0, 2-0, 2-3) at home against the Toronto Maple Leafs in the NHL Åttondelsfinal. The series is now tied at 2-2.

The Lightning dominated the first period, with goals from Steven Stamkos, Pierre-Édouard Bellemare and Pat Maroon.

The Lightning were also sharp in the second period, taking a 5-0 lead near the end of the period after two quick goals from Ross Colton and Corey Perry.

In the third period, William Nylander scored three minutes into the third period, assisted by Auston Matthews and Morgan Rielly, closing the gap for the Maple Leafs.

The Maple Leafs' William Nylander narrowed the gap again, assisted by John Tavares in the third period.

In the third, Ondrej Palat scored in the 15th minute of the period, increasing the lead for the Lightning.
